Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 11, 2026

In accordance with Article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI-CE) and the guidelines of the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), this policy explains how this website uses cookies and local storage.

1. What are cookies?

A cookie is a small file that a website stores on the User's device. The term also covers similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage (localStorage). They make it possible, for example, to remember preferences or to analyze how a site is used.

2. Types of cookies used on this site

  • Technical and preference (first-party): needed to remember your choices. They do not require consent (Article 22.2 LSSI-CE).
  • Analytics (third-party, Google Analytics 4): measure how the site is used so it can be improved. They are only activated if the User accepts them.
  • Advertising or marketing: this site does not use them.

3. Cookies and storage in detail

3.1 First-party storage

NameTypePurposeDuration
af_cookie_consentTechnicalStores the User's choice about analytics cookies (accept or reject) so it is respected and the notice is not shown on every visit.Persistent, until deleted
af_langPreferenceRemembers the last language visited (EN, ES or NL) so the site opens in that language from its main address.Persistent, until deleted

3.2 Analytics cookies: Google Analytics 4

This site uses Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). It is only activated with the User's prior consent, managed through the cookie notice and the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. Google Consent Mode v2 is used: without consent, no analytics cookies are set and only aggregated signals without identifiers are sent.

NameTypePurposeDuration
_gaAnalyticsDistinguishes unique users with a random identifier.2 years
_ga_2D53PM9XB3AnalyticsKeeps the session state and aggregates metrics for the GA4 property.2 years

International transfers: Google may transfer data to servers outside the European Economic Area (including the United States) under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and, where applicable, Standard Contractual Clauses. IP addresses are anonymized.

Purpose: to measure the number of visits, pages viewed, session length, language and traffic sources in order to improve the site. Google Analytics 4 does not allow the User to be identified directly.

4. How to accept, reject or change your choice

  • Through the cookie notice shown on your first visit ("Accept" or "Reject").
  • Through the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, which shows the notice again.
  • Through your browser settings: Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari.

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing. If you block local storage, the cookie notice will appear on every visit.

5. External links

Links to Amazon and LinkedIn open in a new tab, and this site does not load any scripts from those platforms. Their own cookie policies apply when you visit them. More about Google: Google Privacy Policy.

6. Updates to this policy

The Owner may amend this Cookie Policy to reflect legal or technical changes. If new cookies requiring consent are added, consent will be requested before they are activated.
